Post subject: URGENT: using a cellphone in SH

Ok, I have one cellphone here in Sweden, that I want to use in China. Last time it didn'twork.

But I was thinking if it's possible if I could go to Lawson or something and buy a card that I load my phone with? like 100 RMB.

How much does it cost to get a new cellphone number in SH.

and which brand of card should I buy?

your swedish mobile phone should work so longa s its a GSM phoe operating at the 900/1800 frequencies.

You should be able to go to the local metro station or local phone card seller and buy a new SIM card with anumber on it for around 100-150rmb and should be able to use it immediately. I take it you are not in SH yet? Anyhow, those are prepaid cards and cna be charged at any local lawsons or manyy otehr convenience stores.

Hope that helps! Smile

If its a network provider that supplied the phone then they sometimes lock the phone to their network meaning it wont allow another sim card to be used. If this is the case then you will need to get it unlocked.
