| Post subject: Online banking? |
I've been trying to access my Canadian bank account (RBC) online for the past 6 months.
(((ALL I WANT IS TO FIND OUT MY FREAKING BALANCE!!! )))
I keep getting "This service is not available in your location" or some shite.
I've tried desperately to get a hold of RBC and find out any information
I heard it's because of my service provider.... (which is China Telecom).
So, does anyone use onlne banking for oversees accounts?
what do I need to do to access my account???
or any other ideas how I can find out my account balance??? |

You could try using a US or Canadian based proxy -- then the banking site cannot tell where you are coming from.
I use scotiabank with no issues. Perhaps you should switch. |

I have no issues with US banks and did nothing special to access them. dfoo may have apoint, they could be looking for a zip code or some other identifying feature. I have had trouble with US websites when it takes too long for a page to load, I get a time-out error. |

No need to look for zip codes or whatever. They can look at the source IP and determine that the connection comes from China and simply disallow it for whatever stupid reason. |
