I am starting a urinating-in-elevators club for Singaporeans and fellow former expats in S'pore. You guys may not have notices, but elevators in Shanghai are NOT setup with urine detectors and law enforcement is a concept that simply doesnt exist here, so we can all practice our natural hobby without problems. PM me if you want to join. First meeting this sunday in Jin Mao building.

Mat (Salleh),

This is Singlish. Singlish is an English-based creole language native to Singapore. It is the first language of many younger Singaporeans, especially those whose parents do not share a native language or dialect, and is the second language of nearly all the rest of the country's residents.

The vocabulary of Singlish consists of words originating from English, Hokkien, Cantonese, Malay, and to a lesser extent various other Indic and Sinitic languages, while Singlish syntax resembles southern varieties of Chinese.

Singlish is closely related to Manglish of neighbouring Malaysia. Since this thread revolves around people from Malaysia & Singapore, its a common understanding that we use such language. If you have an issue, beat it.

Hi all.

SMS club sounds cool.. I guess it's a good way to get around together to share some of our common feelings.. Since we all come from similiar background. Anyway. I look forward to see each other on wednesday. Ash, keep up the good work.
