| Post subject: OK, I give up...vanilla extract? |
I sure tried hard: Carrefour (3 different stores) - no. Century mart - no. Pines (2 different stores) - no. I found maple extract, banana extract, and even "vanilla sugar", but no vanilla extract. Vanilla is so common in western style desserts, there HAS to be some somewhere. Right?
Any suggestions? |

Did you try City Supermarket? The stock of vanilla extract is variable though, so when you find it buy a few. |

Hong Mei Lu City Supermarket has it - the McCormick brand from the US. Also have seen a big bottle of Watkins vanilla in the basement of Times Square - not sure if they are there anymore but just outside of City Supermarket there was a kiosk with Watkins products: http://www.watkinsonline.com/ |
