| Post subject: Bazaar? During CNY? |
Is there going to be one? I know in some SEA countries, that's what they normally organize. A nice long street selling goodies, people hawking their wares and festive decorations, along with performances etc.
Not an expats bazaar, but a true blue Chinese one. |

If u mean fruit markets.... bet all those are closed on CNY too as most of the farmers will stay at home.. |

Of course there would be a difference... Expat bazaars normally sell foreign wares, but I do know in Taiwan/Hong Kong/Malaysia/Singapore, the streets will be filled with stalls selling sweet cookies, titbits, red packets, decorations, and all festive-related items...
And I'm also referring to the few days leading to the actual 1st 3 days of CNY. |

YuYuan and the surrounding area might be the closest to what you are imagining
I know for the lantern festival they block the area off and you have to buy tickets to enter
