Post subject: Nanjing

I'm going to Nanjing for the first time this weekend. What's there to see there? Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

went there over new year. Seemed not a lot. Places such as Zhong Shan tomb & Ming Dynasty tomb, Fu Zi Temple (night market) are the usual spots.
The old President's Office/Accomocation is quite nice
Found a place like XinTianDi, just at the back of the president's office in the city.
On way back (outside the city and just near the SH-Nanjing highway) may go to Tang Shan 汤山 for hotsprings - there is a hotspring water park (for fun which we went) and also found a nice hotspring place (part of a club house of a group of villas at the hill) - may be good for spa/relaxation.

Zhongshan FengJingqu
The Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum
The Memorial Hall for the victimes of the Nanjing Rape in 1937
The Fu Zi / Confucius temple and the old city area
The Xuanwuhu lake and the city wall
The Jiangxinzhou island in the Yantze river

in that sequence

Thanks for your replies and suggestions! I now at least have some idea of what there is to do there. I'm not sure where to buy train tickets from as my husband's company has organized all this.
