| Post subject: living toys |
.........hello three white kittens ...dumped by desperate acquirers who thought they were cute toys and realised they had no way to understand their needs...and so dumped them outside ..hoping that they would find someone that could cope with them... or that they would die and the acquirer would not see the death....... out of sight out of mind,.....
..........in china there are strains of pure bred cats and dogs bred for the pet market of 'living toys till they die'.
............as animals too young to leave their mother, they have a small chance of survival as they are bought by people who have no knowledge of the needs of these tiny tots....
...........but they look so cute 'living toys' and so are a consumable commodity.... they die and others are bought to replace them and so on ad infinitum....
...........are you looking to be a foster parent for one or more of these tiny tots so as to help in our rescue efforts and to bring greater awareness of animal welfare to china???
.... if you look closely at the middle kitten you can see that it has a black smudge in the centre between its ears,,,, this is the typical mark for what is known as the british white short hair pure breed.......... as they get older the mark diminishes and almost disappears
.........my pleasure was to foster a white cat found in the pet market in Nanjing and it was after she was neutered it was realised she was a very valuable pure breed called a 'turkish van'.
.....A breed becoming more and more popular in the UK and the USA. A breed that has become inbred in those countries as there has been only a small genetic pool to breed from.... how important she would have been to the gene pool if it had been known earlier...
.........anyway she is the delight of my life as she is and one day another may be found to take to the UK for breeding.... at the moment they can fetch up to 2000 GBP I am told by an enthusiast.
.........so if you are interested in this rescue please contact vetcao's hospital ASAP.... so save their lives

I saw this item and checked out the suzhouexpat and saw the follow up on the kittens and another two stories... one about a dog that died from being given one peice of chocolate a day as a treat... theother about a little black dog that was found soaked in the middle of the road...
If you like animal stories with a happy ending then see the photos
they are at the forum called services http://www.suzhouexpats.org/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,27 /func,showcat/catid,15/ |
