to all the indians, if your blood group is A- and willing to donate blood please contact Ms.Shalini at 13512154247
Her mother has had a hip bone fracture, which needs to be operated on. This can be done only if they have her blood type in store. Kindly volunteer if you are eligible to do so. |

Do Indians love cricket or that adulation is only restricted to the 'chosen 11' ? How many indians are following World cup after India team exit ? Is there any recognition / following to the state level / district level cricket or for that matter women's team ?
Looks like India is a crickter loving nation than cricket loving one ... |

i agree that to an extent some of us love our cricketers more than the game.. but there are many for whom the game is more important thatswhy we chose to have this planof getting together to watch the finals.. and meet each other... response woeful till now..shows our tendency for binding perhaps ??? though the invitation is not restricted to Indians..!! anybody who loves cricket is welcome... but the response makes me agree with you ....!! |

I think Indians are good dramatist....they like drama....so the heros of indian cricket are bigger than the game.....those who love the game i believe are following on daily basis.....there is a turn around now....if southafrica lose today....even westindies can go through.....if they win the remaining matches....its going to be interesting..... yes we can meet on a weekend....what say... |

so now in the semis sri lanka takes on the kiwis and the aussies take on s africa.. my odds are still on a kiwi / aussie final.... as a strategy maybe the kiwis just rolled over ?? after all a bird that cant fly has to be very smart to survive...!! ?? |

agreed... cricket's an unpredictable game.. it just requires a good day ( or a bad one..) and a couple of guys to fire (or fail..!!) and you never know..for all you know it could be Sri lanka v/s S Africa...!! lets see..but at present form and stats the Aussies look like an unstoppable team... I for one would love to see Murli bowling to Hayden..! |

great to see some indian discussions at last on the forum. shanghai is lot of fun. We have been living in Shanghai now for over 2 years.
I try to organize Indian Club Nites in Shanghai. Will do so one soon....
If anybody has ideas about getting together regularly will be nice to explore.
BTW: I was working in Hyderabad for 7 years before moving to Shanghai |

Hi All,
Great to know there are so many of us in Shanghai. My name is Vijay Thakkar. I Visited Shanghai 4-5 times but food and travelling is a big problem. Can anyone please help with economical food suggestions . I m a pure vegeterian Gujju visiting Shanghai for around twice a year for business. Will really appreciate any help. By the way, if any one needs anything from back home, do tell me. I m coming to shanghai on 28th of april and will be there for around 10 days. I m from Mumbai. Thanks!!! |
