Great website for flight selection: www.kayak.com
Great website for driving directions and distances: www.mapquest.com

Luggage allowance may vary with airlines - on Northwest it's 50 pounds or 23 kg.

United AIrlines

Sunnyvale is like an eastern suburb of San Jose, almost the same thing. Maybe 10-15 minutes drive from downtown SJ to Sunnvale. Never heard of Silicon Village.

You need to define "LA". Do you mean LAX airport ? If so, both Irvine and Pasadena would be quite a haul, esp. at rush hour. In the dead of night, no traffic, maybe 30 minutes driving.

San Jose to SFO - drive during non-rush hour. 45 minutes to an hour drive, depending on where you're going to.

22 kg limit, same as the international flight, if you're in coach. Biz class or elite freq. flyers get 34 kg

1) UA 858/857 only nonstop flights between Shanghai and San Francisco
2) Sunnyvale is part of Silicon VALLEY, by car, it is within 45 mins of San Francsico, and probably less than half an hour from SFO
3) Pasadena and Irvine are within an hour on a reasonable day, by car, of LA
4)San Jose is 60 mile or about 1 hour, by car from San Francisco. Travel can be made by car or CalTrain.
5) Baggage limit on UA is 2 items within the US not to exceed 50lbs each.
