Do you have a solution for this problem:
http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/index.php?name=MDForum&file=viewtopic&p=5 75054&highlight=#575054

Up to now there is no GPS system that can toggle between chinese characters and pinyin/English without loosing the position or settings on the map.
With almost all systems, you have to go go back to the menu, reload the whole program in either English or in Chinese, then go back to the map.
How about your system ?

Are you looking to buy a GPS system or you own one already?

The GPS I'm selling does not have this problem since the software is on the SD card. The Chinese map is only with Pin Yin imput and english speech, with Chinese caracters and spoken is also possible but then you need to buy an other card. So, you only need to change the SD card.

Interested? Let me know!

So apparently, your GPS system has exactly the same problem:
it's either Chinese map with Chinese characters and Chinese menu system
or
pinyin/english map with English menu system.
They even are on a different card !!!

I want to toggle = instantly switch over between pinyin/English and Chinese characters WHITHOUT changing the SD card, even WITHOUT going back to the menu system, WITHOUT loosing the map position on the screen.

Can you offer such a system ?

BTW: can you imagine WHY i need such an instant toggle system ?

Of course I understand but it doesn't exist. I always type in the address myself and the on-screen indications are that simple that my driver knows what to do and how to get there. Sometimes my driver programs the address by taking the street map in Pinyin and that's it. All in all the system costs less than half the price of the cheapest Marvin, has a bigger screen and MP4 playback and a 400 Mhz CPU inside.

Hi, just for your info I've now the GPS system with China map in English and Chinese on one SD card.

It works like this:

First you input the address you want to go to, than you need indeed to go back to the menu and from there change the languages. After you select "done" you will be automactly redirected to the map (you don't need to put in the address any more). This feture is only available in one of the 5 GPS models that I have for sell but in the near future all the 5 models will also have it.

If you want more info just drop me an email to: aliuska@9sino.com and I'll send you full specifications and user manual.
