| Post subject: Blood test? |
Hi!
I've been in Shanghai for a month and lost 3 kilos. I move a lot but I eat a LOT too, so I'm kind of worried ...
I'm a registered nurse - but not here for the purpose, so I don't know how it works... I want to take a blood tests and look at the results by myself to understand what's going wrong (or not, hopefully...). Is this possible?
I don't want to go to a chinese hospital and be given chinese medicine without knowing what's going on!!! I don't speak enough chinese to make them understand, and for sure if the results are in pin yin, there's no way I'll figure it out
Please answer as soon as possible ... i'd even go this afternoon if someone can give me a phone number or an adress.. I'm freaking out, I've been trying since 10 days to eat and eat (thank god, I love the food here) .. I'm having fun and never regret haha, but I'm really worried.
Thanks!!!!! |

Hey
Right the place you should think about going to is the Shanghai East International Medical Centre, http://www.seimc.com.cn/ Its a private western standard medical care center, assuming you have private health care ( forgive me for being presumptuous ) then they should be able to take care of any medical needs you have. They have experienced western doctors who speak english, some actually are english and a surgical team too. I registered and they are great at their job, sorted out the slipped discs in my neck after a horror show at ruijin hospital !!!!
They're based in pudong in a big chinese hospital check the site out it should give you all the info you need. Hope this helps |
