| Post subject: LPG Scooter |
I would like to get a new LPG scooter, but i need to know where to buy that and what i should look for to be sure that everything is ledgit.
What is the price i should pay for the scooter and for the licence plate.
I understood that we do not need a drivers licence to drive anything below 55cc, can anybody confirm that?

Scooter anywhere from 3000 - 7000 rmb new. Plates are now about 12,000rmb are very difficult to obtain.
You DO need a license to drive motorscooters no matter if they are 55cc or less.

The plates are prohibitives, i guess it is easier to buy a used one with plates. |

The store I went to on Jiang Guo Lu (just east of Huang Pi Lu) quoted around 13,000 RMB INCLUDING the plate and said she could arrange the license for around 300 RMB. But it still seems expensive as I use an electric scooter which only cost 2500 RMB. |
