Went to this event today in Zhong Shan Park's Coffee Bean for the first time though I've been in Shanghai over a month now and my apartment is very close by. Nice group of people and as a bonus I figured out that I wrote down my new cell phone number wrong (oops!, quickly corrected). |

been here 9 months and almost EVERY friday i tell myself "i will go to the coffee meeting tomorrow" and comes saturday 11 am and i am just waking up.

I went to the coffee shop yesterday (around 10h45), but did not dare to talk to anyone as there was no banner and no group of people. Has it always been like so ? Or was it special yesterday? |

The event is held in the glass enclosed room (usually used as the smoking room but NON smoking during our event) A free sttanding banner is supposed to be up for the event but its possible the staff forgot it. But usually people arrive and converse in that room until after noon when some take off for lunch. As i am not in SH right now, I am uncertain who was there, but last i checked, it was still being well attended so maybe ask the folks in the room? |

There is a tendancy for the folks to arrive later and later each week to the Saturday meeting. Yesterday, by 11:15 there were still only about 6 people but by 11:30 the group was growing and by noon numbered over 20. The week before there were 4-5 people by 10:15. Have not seen the banner up in the past couple of weeks, but the meeting is still on behind the glass sliding doors. There have been several new people in the past few weeks. |

Err is it possible you went to the Cofee bean in the basement? thats what I did some weeks ago, and figured the no one was coming. then when I checked the forum again, I realised there was another outlet on first floor. Doh! |
