Post subject: Looking to practice Chinese and meet new people?

Every Friday night, Talk da Talk hosts a free language exchange event at it's clubhouse on Xinhua Rd. The exchanges start at 7:30 and are a great opportunity to meet new locals. Participants spend the first 45 minutes speaking English and the second 45 minutes speaking Chinese. There is a new topic chosen every week, and participants are free to let the conversation wander in any direction.

The Clubhouse is located at 580 Xinhua Rd, near Dingxi Rd. For more information, e-mail Cynthia at cynthia@talkdatalk.com or call us at 5258-3741.

i've mentioned this before and i'll say it (only once more) again: events like these are heavily female populated. it's a great chance to meet (local) girls. i'm sure some are attractive.

but keep in mind that after the first part of speaking english, most of the participants leave so you probably have a better chance of practicing chinese just living in china talking to your neighbors and such.
