| Post subject: Looking to practice Chinese and meet new people? |
Every Friday night, Talk da Talk hosts a free language exchange event at it's clubhouse on Xinhua Rd. The exchanges start at 7:30 and are a great opportunity to meet new locals. Participants spend the first 45 minutes speaking English and the second 45 minutes speaking Chinese. There is a new topic chosen every week, and participants are free to let the conversation wander in any direction.

i've mentioned this before and i'll say it (only once more) again: events like these are heavily female populated. it's a great chance to meet (local) girls. i'm sure some are attractive. |

but keep in mind that after the first part of speaking english, most of the participants leave so you probably have a better chance of practicing chinese just living in china talking to your neighbors and such. |
