Hi cbebbington... No need to worry... we all feel a bit funny the 1st time and yeah it feels difficult to break the ice but everybody who go there just want a good time, some alcohol and making friends... been to this event for 3 months now and try to join every time I can... after a couple of times, you won't be a newbie and you will get to know the oldies...
Tips? just relax, and (if you are shy) buy yourself a drink when you arrrive on the 3rd floor to get some courrage and everything will go smoothly...
You won't be the 1st or the only one as the new guy/gal...I meet new people every time I go there which makes it so great.
there is no need to prepare your cv... |

I cant think of the word when someone believes something that never happened...is it dillusional?
Anyhow, if i recall correctly i didnt even say hello and you had left. Ok whaever natalie. If thats what you consider nice treatment, it explains a few other things...
Anyhow, the other people at the event tend to be pretty friendly though normalcy cannot be guaranteed, me being a case and point  New people, regulars etc, all come to hang out and chat so come on out. |

Ah good times last night. Ed, your face ever make it all the way to purple? Oh, and I assume the pictures of me making my "mad face" will be deleted (otherwise known as pasted all over the internet)?
To those talking about a cab shortage, there were about 20 of them lined up on TRL near Manhattan. Ended up in a dark blue one with a girl driving, #177978 or something like that, but she should try out for F1. Never driven back to the 'dong that fast! |

Mad face??? hmmm, must've missed that. But last night was overall pretty decent. And no, i usually just get red for a bit as many pics of the mixer may show. Otherwise i think i will pass out before i finally hit purple.  |

Oh yeah. Hands clenched, eyes closed, the whole boat, and then *FLASH* goes the camera followed by the giggles of the girl who took it (I forgot your name, sorry). I forget what I was yapping about, but the photographic eveidence is there. |

new to the site, soon to be new to shanghai. still a while away, but i'm flying in literally the day before one of these mixers on Feb 17th. will try my darndest to show up, barring me getting hopelessly lost. would appreciate any tips for directions! i'll be coming from the yangpu area, i believe. |

taxi driver got hopelessly lost. I was coming from huaihai lu. Pretty easy I thought. He spent 30 minutes and ended up back to where we started. Gave up and went home. Will endeavour to be there next week. Can someone write the address in Characters on here>? |
