went along for first time last night (after missing due to work the last few times) thought venue was OK. Obviously its best to walk past the haggared pros on the first floor and straight up to the third but as long as you are aware of whats going on down there it's no problem.
The service was fine. One guy at the bar and two girls doing table service. One thing that annoys me is that they do the typical chinese thing of you give your money to the barman, who in turn gives it to someone else, who then takes ages to give your change to the bar man, who then has to give it back to you. Not a problem with the bar though - just china in general!
I liked the fact there was no music as it promoted talking and chatting but it could have done with a few things to try and make the groups of people mix a little more - perhaps it is a little cliquey? But i guess all these types of things become that way over time. |

^ it can feel a bit clique initially but you will find its easy to mingle into most groups as it IS a mixer after all. We supply the space and such, but initiative will be left up to the individuals. |

The thing is you know some people and couple of month later they will not be there and new set of people will come, so after some time you get tired of wasting time. Is like you are long-term or life-time con in jail where most other cons are short-term, so they come and leave and you and few your buddies stay indefinitely but your group does not want to socilaize with those short-termers as it would be waste and also they are boring because the only thing they talk about is how soon they go home. |

age range 18-75, number in attendance ranges from 30-140. Variable based on holidays, weather, other events in town, the misalignment of the planets etc. Just show up, its always worth popping by a couple times to see before you really get a feeling for what it is and how it fits your needs. besides, 25rmb drinks so if nothing else you get a drink at a decent price before heading off to the next watering hole. crowds tend to show after 9:30 though. |

Where can I find Malones?
Will there be alcohol there or should I bring my own?
Is it a good idea if I bring some straws for everybody to share? I heard straws are very hard to find in China. But I don't want to embarrass anyone by bringing something none of the Chinese people there know how to use. What should I do?
How will I recognize you guys? |
