I just arrived in Shanghai, so see you next week ...
If anybody new sees my message, let's meet before going to the mixer (eat something or wathever), that's never easy to come alone in this kind of meeting, even if you're drunk to death to get some "courage" to talk to people.

BenJ, welcome to Shanghai and shanghaiexpat.com. I know how you feel, it wasn't so long ago that I myself had just arrived and wanted to make friends. It's quite easy to just go alone, sit down and talk to the people near you.

Oh and feel free to ignore our very own Nutalie above a.k.a. Parkson18single. I doubt even she understood what she wrote half the time.

Discounts only on third floor and for standard drinks, sadly Guiness would still not be a standard drink, though there may be a discount, but you will need to ask about that.

Mixer coming up again this week. We are hosting a group of U of Fla MBA students who will get a presentation about SME's in China and join the mixer afterwards. Come on out! Should be very interesting evening this week.
