Post subject: Live Earth - what happened?

Does anybody know what is happening with the live earth concert on July 7th? It was supposed to be this big world wide event, and Shanghai was on the list, but here we are two and a half weeks from the show, and nothing has been announced. Even the live earth web site has no mention of a shanghai lineup, it just says "coming soon." I heard something about Sara Brightman a few months ago (yawn) but nothing since then. Is this show still happening?

As in, getting people behind the cause via a series of worldwide concerts is great, but they might want to work on the lineup here in SH Wink.

well, they went for local talent and that's right. After all, the purpose of the concerts is to raise awareness of climate change so

1) they wouldn't want to exacerbate climate change by flying acts half way round the world
2) they may well do better in raising local awareness by featuring local acts.
