Post subject: Unusual but tasty sandwich recipes

At home, I always end up making these sandwiches made from whatever I have left over and have come up with some interesting combinations. Usually its ends up being a little different from something you buy. Of course - do my share of the standard meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo type fare. If you have a sandwich you have created and eaten.. put the recipe here. If I figure out a good one at home, I will put it up here.

Last week I had a cream cheese, curry beef, pickled onion and kimchee on chewy french bread and it turned out pretty good!

Well have tried: mustard, peanut butter, ketchup, olive oil w/raw garlic bits, Bleu cheese and sardines in pita bread. Leaves a kinda strange taste every bite.

Not really unusual but white bread spread thick with butter, french fries & tomato sauce just rocks.

If you need to put on more weight try pan fried peanut butter & banana

Sure many of you have heard of this one...roast beast, coleslaw, and fries. Bread has gotta be first rate though or the whole thing falls apart.

coming from the pittsburgh, pa area, no sandwhich, or salad for that matter, is complete without french fries stuffed in it! a must at any ballgame in pnc park!

i love peanutbutter sandwhiches with nutella and then bananas in between, maybe throw in rice krispies cereal for texture if you're adventurous

have u tried pinneapple ham and cheese melted on toast? im a veg but my ex swore by it

-if you like dark breads, maybe pumpernickel or german schwarzbrot, you can toast that and top it with tomatoes marinated in the classic olive oil and basil, add italian seasonings, mozarella, sprinkle a bit of balsamic vinegar on top, and viola! looks harder than it is ;o)

-i used to make these hamburgers with my mom stuffed with blue cheese and topped with mushrooms that were always popular, and burgers wrapped in monterrey jack and bacon with eggs, although since im allergic to most animal products i never got to eat them myself, but hey they were always gone haha

1.make a lot of home made mayonese (put in the mixer egg yolk, salt and add oil, keep mixing. then olive oil, balsamic, mustard even tabasco if you like more spice.
2. cook chicken breast, cut with your fingers in small pieces, then cook again in a tomato sauce for one hour.
3. take a sandwiche bread, in a large plate or a tuperware do like this:
one layer of bread, chicken with the sauce; bread, mayo, cheese and a good ham, everything sliced in small pieces, pickles, boiled eggs, then again breadm, chicken, etc.
4. cover evertything with mayo
put in the fridge, you can eat this all week, even take for lunch at your office.
my husband love this!

My all time favorite sandwich (bought, not self made):
-Roast Beef
-Lettuce & Tomato
-Dietz & Watson Honey Mustard (sweet with a slight tang to it)
-Horseradish (chopped, not paste)
-Portuguese roll

Second all time favorite is a B.L.T., though the bacon has to be soft and thick. Bacon here in Shanghai is too salty for me.

You haven't lived until you've eaten a "cheese and vegemite sanga". (sanga is australian slang for sandwich)

Yummo!!
