Post subject: BRUNSWICK Pool Tables in Shanghai

It's True. WUNDERBAR http://www.smartshanghai.com/venue/2630/Wunderbar_shanghai has 6 of them. This is a great little find, especially if you live out near the university area. However, it is well worth the 30kuai from downtown taxi fair to get out there and play free on the brand spanking new brunswick tables (free if you are drinking).

I had to go out there to do some samples of our beers for them (which they will carry some of) and i was very impressed. Even better, they have one of the best beer lists in town, of which a number of them are some hard to find German and Belgium beers. Their beer markups are among the lowest in town also.

All in all, a great find, and worth the trip out for a weekend of pool and sports and beer on probably the best pool tables on the mainland!

Anyone else been there? Comments?

That sounds superb, i'll give it a try. On the pub sports theme where can I find the best bar football tables in this city?

Wunderbar also had 1 or 2 of those football tables as well. I didn't play them, but they looked the goods. Also, the Eager Beaver is pretty much known as having the best apparently.

Ah I should check out the Eager Beaver one. I always seem to be already hammered when I get in there. Definitely sounds like Wunderbar is worth a trip! Thanks.

Eager Beaver and The Spot have foosball tables from the same company I think. The guy who supplied them is the coach of the Chinese national foosball team, he goes round regularly maintaing them and leathering chumps like me in both bars.
Anyway, they're the best in town IMO
