Saizeriya - Italian Food, pretty good food and ok size portions. I have eaten there twice now and both times, it was tasty. The price is very good. The lunch special was 15rmb which included a salad, minestrone soup, and a pasta dish. There are multiple locations but I went to Foxtown and the one near JingAn temple subway exit1. |

^^ You're giving Americans a bad name. It's a greasy spoon. Okay for what it is, definitely a bargain in today's Skankhi but still, not Italian Food ... |

not been to uminosachi for a while, so went back last night.
they have changed pricing...150 does not get you a seat at the teppanyaki table...i think it now 198.
did the 150, and they actually have a better menu, great japanese food.....over-ate and had a hang-over as usual. |

Babela's Kitchen, another one of those Chinese style italian food. Had a beef short rib which was actually really tasty, better IMO than the ribs I had at Bubba's, but not as good value as bubbas, as this was 50RMB for a pretty small portion and bubba's you get a full rack. Well maybe I was at BUbba's on a bad day, but I did not like it at all.
Anyways, just wanted to try that place as I pass by it all the time. |

I went with some friends aon a tripple date, to a place called 'Chartre'.
Awful service and one of the girls go worms in her food. They were not part of the dish. |

Swiss Hotel just opened in Jing an and saw their Offer of a buy one free one buffet promotion..
Dinner was a very good spread...really value for money at 248 + 15% ( 144 since your companion is free)
japanese/cantonese/barbecues and roast/pastas etc
Lunch which i will try next time is even cheaper 188 + 15%, which would really be a bargain considering the food they have in the spread,,
.
Will defintely come back...promo is only till end of the August |

Yakexi in Xikang Lu/Wuding Lu
Xinjiang food for a change.
Usual yang rou chuan, dapan ji, had some venison and horse meat appetizers, wild mushrooms with brocolli.
Seems their dancers have been sent home. Only one Xinjiang girl is dancing the whole evening, they use to have 5 or 6. |

Haiku- was pretty bad tonight actually.Normally love it but service was horrendous (one waitress upstairs for a full restaurant) and the spider roll looked /tassted like it was pre made.
Martini was good though........ |
