chinese place near gaojinglu-food is pretty nice there, but they seriously need to work on their hygiene:P kinda weird i havent had food poisoning from that place yet:P

A tiny hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant on Tian Ping Lu called "Tian Tian" (Everyday), which was surprisingly good. 2 of us ordered 4 dishes (total was 67rmb including 2 drinks and rice), yum, love the chinese long beans + potato dish. Cheap home cooked style dishes. The only down side is that you can only order in Chinese, and no pics in the menu.

tried the new De marco's near Jiangsu Lu
Nice new layout - food was nice......when it got there!. Took 1 hour for the pizza to come out...had already finished a bottle of red before the food came.

Noodle Plus - a new japanese noodle joint beside the Burger King, at the back of Jing an temple.

nice decor..and thats it. Terrible service and food....dont bother.

Bella Napoli....Good Melanzana Permigiani and excellent Pasta....service was lousy though....3 tables, 3 waitresses....why is that so complicated? What makes me smile is that they serve a bottle of sparkling water like it is some kind of amazing wine!
