I realize there is a problem with this one. ... there are just so many different kinds.. Here's how to handle this..

If you have favorites.. like fav Shanghainese ,, fav Sichuan,,, fav dimsum.. cantonese, etc.. you have nominate a favorite for each area that you have an opinion on..and if we have enough...( like 3 or 4 different dimsum places.. we will put it up in the voting...

So if the restaurant you are nominating has a subcategory.. list it..

like "Shanghai Ren Jia - Shanghainese"

Have you tried Wu Jiang Lu ? There are 1 or 2 cantonese restaurants over there, cheaper and in my opinion better.

Need your help here.. anyone who has a definitive sense of how to categorize each these restaurants.

We have lots of nominations for Chinese Food, but in trying to do the questions for the voting it became obvious from my own lack of understanding the nuisances of the different cuisine, which sub -categories they should fall into. Maybe someone want to help us make sense of it.

Here are some obvious categories.
DimSum
Dong Bei

Here is the cut and paste list of nominations and the sub category the poster recommended for the nomination. Feel free to add anyone you did not think of.

Cantonese - ZEN Hong Kong Plaza
Shanghainese - Jade Garden
Bi Feng Tang
DiShuitang and 1221
Red Door (Xia Mian Guan)

Taiwanense- Charmant
Dimsum- Crystal Jade
Dumplings- DinTaiFung
Eat+Drink+Man+Woman
Shanghainese: Whampoa Club

Sichuan - South Beauty
XingJiShi
Yu Xing - Sichuan
