Nominate some places for
Best Other Asian Food
Realizing there are lot of other different style.. you can nominate a few places and start your own subcategory...
Post chinese subcategories ( Cantonese, Shanghainese, Sichuan, Hunan, etc ) in the Chinese Food thread.
A few obvious subcats are
Thai
Singaporean
Japanese
Indian
Vietnamese

Nanyang at Infiniti has great Malaysian-Sporean food. Simply Thai is still the best Thai food around. Bali Laguna's rendang and gado-gado is good, but all other dishes are overpriced and the service sucks. |

Bukhara(HongMei Lu) & Masala Art(Dagu Lu) for Indian food.
Simply Thai(few places) still the best Thai food but expensive.
Alternatively, try Kevin's Bar(Changle Lu) or Orchard CRC(Xinzha Lu)
Coconut Paradise is good also
Kampong Kitchen(Gubei, ShuiCheng Nan Lu) for Malaysian food....although mixed up by the supposed to be Malaysian food plus the Shanghainese owner.
Bali Laguna(Jingan Park) for Indonesian food! This is lovely....i love Indonesian. Ehh....Indonesian food.
Haiku or Chu Hua(Gubei Garden Hotel....good SAKE!) for Japanese food |
