Post subject: Special Olympics Charity FunCasino Saturday at Yeeha's

Yeeha's Texas BBQ is holding a Charity FunCasino for the Special Olympics on Saturday evening beginning at 6pm - with two live bands, beginning with Paul Meredith and the Mongol Minstrels (from Oscar's) and finishing with Shanghai's own homegrown classic rock band "Studio 188", which recently played at AmCham's 4th of July Party.

Come on down to support the Special Olympics while having some Reno-style casino fun and hear some authentic pickin'. Paul Meredith and the Mongol Minstrels from Oscar's will be playing folk, bluegrass and folk-country while the Fun-casino runs. After they finish, Studio 188 comes on at 10pm with heavier classic rock - with the Stones, Dire Straits, ZZ top, Skynnyrd, Doors, Marley, as well as a bunch of Aussie drinking songs.

The theme is "Reno Casino" - so come dressed in a western outfit if you have one (hat, boots, checkered shirt, stringy tie are some suggestions), and loaded down with some gold to gamble. From 7 to 10pm there will be blackjack, roulette and poker tables open, and even a Wheel of Fortune for those unfamiliar with Reno-style action.

Fifteen American UNC (University of North Carolina) girls will be helping out as Special Olympics volunteers, to guide guests in the FunCasino game rules and to lend an authentic southern twang to the event. The last funcasino event put on by Elite Events was highly populated - so make sure to get there early enough to find a spot at one of the game tables.

JustBeer.cn will be providing all the beer, so lots of good stuff, and the prices are VERY cheap.

Before the Charity event opens, there will be a Freeroll Texas holdem poker tournament, with 5000rmb prize money. FREE to enter, but you have to register at www.expatpoker.com. So if you'd like to see if seats are still available, don't hesitate to check the registration site. Self-run poker tables will be open after the Poker tournament during the Casino hours, so rematches can be arranged to recapture lost honor.

The Special Olympics Charity event then opens at 6pm; 200rmb entry gets you a buffet dinner, one free drink and a bag of chips to get you started at the Roulette, Blackjack and Poker tables. The winners will be those who have the most chips at the end of the night.

- All purchase of casino chips will go straight to Special Olympics charity!

- First prize is a photo opp with Rafael Nadal, a top-ranked international tennis star, at the upcoming Shanghai Masters Cup!

- Other prizes include tickets to the Shanghai Master's Cup, Tickets to the Special Olympics, a complete poker tournament set, caseloads of great Australian beer from Just Beer.cn, and some vouchers for group dinners and drinking sessions at Yeeha's

Yeehas has wall-to-wall flat TV screens, and satellite TV to bring you all the upcoming games from all around the world, so it stands ready to be the venue for your future sports-viewing/watering hole needs. So, come on down for the event, and come on back for the sports programming, darts, pool league, or just to hang out with elbow room at the Texas-sized saloon of Yeeha's Bar and Grill.

(Yeeha's Texas BBQ is right across Huashan Road from Jingan Temple, and right across Yuyuan Road from the Paramount theater. The address is #2 Huashan Road, but access to the restaurant is right around the corner on Yuyuan Road.)

Isn't the government guy in charge of the Special Olympics under corruption investigation for channeling donations to his own and friends companies???
