Post subject: Does anyone live/work in Zhangjian Technology park area?

Just wondering , what is it like? Does it feel like 'middle of nowhere'? Are there any amenities around there? Shops, restaurants, banks, hospitals, etc?? it seems soooo far away.

That's where I am currently, but the park itself is pretty big, depends on where you are. You'll appreciate the quietness here... but at same time, it's quite true there's nothing much around here and somewhere far out. The plaza is full of eating places like what 8lrr8 said, and there's an automated banking lobby, as well as money changer. There's a huge hospital called Shu Guan Hospital... as well as a small town area called ZhangJiang Town, which is quite far from the subway.

Most of the time i just catch a cab to Big Thumb Plaza (about 20RMB) as there's a carrefour there.
