Dude is right. We Americans gotta stick together. Other countries have their get-togethers. Even Canadians! And they have no cultural identity at all.

I think it would be a great idea to start a Young American Alliance. Our first meeting - an invasion of the Canadians' meeting. Lets roll in and start pushing over their tables and smacking drinks out of their hands.

A Mexican, an Iraqi, and a Texas redneck girl are in the same bar.

When the Mexican finishes his beer, he throws his glass in the air, pulls out his pistol, and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, 'In Mexico our glasses are so cheap we don't need to drink with the Same one twice.'

The Iraqi, obviously impressed by this, drinks his beer, throws it into the air, pulls out his AK-47, and shoots the glass to pieces. He says, 'In Iraq we have so much sand to make glasses that we don't need to drink with the same one twice either.'

The redneck girl, cool as a cucumber, picks up her beer, downs it in one gulp, throws the glass into the air, whips out her .45, and shoots the Mexican and the Iraqi. Catching her glass, setting it on the bar, and calling for a refill, she says, 'In America we have so many illegal aliens that we don't have to drink with the same ones twice.'

Makes one feel kind of proud, don't it?

Way to go CoffeeHawk_0 ! Wink

Hey, Cowboyup.
If we "take over China" and it becomes the 51st state, won't that demote Texas into being the 3rd largest state???
Whoa.
Don't mess with Texas man.

Happy New Year all . . . !

[quote="CowboyUp"] I couldn't think of a better location than the newly opened Applebees in XJH?

Two reasons I couldn't be happier to be the heck out of the Good Ole US of A:

1. Cowboy Up, and other similar catch-phrases

2. Applebees?!?

I vote that we find a bar or restaurant that is heavily populated with a predominently "Euro Crowd"...

You know the guys...
The "I am "_____"*, a king of the universe, an expat God, and better than all the other lowly little "_____"* wannabes that populate the rest of the earth...especially those that are Americans!

* Insert here, French, German, Dutch, etc....

We show up in force....take over the place with loud, arrogant, obnoxious, drunken banter. Perhaps start a few conversations about our right to rule the world. Maybe at the end we can sing love songs about George W.... (Apparently, that is our normal style according to most reports on this site).

Advantages:
- Will piss them off to no end.
- Will validate what they wrongfully think about the behavior of most Americans.

Anybody else want in? Figure we need about 20-30 to really make this work!

Sorry to burst the bubble, but "Earl" isn't very representative of the South. It's more like what a NE'ner thinks the South is like.

So I must say being semi-new to Shanghai I am dissapointed that I haven't been able to find an American Expat Group. I have been to some Aussie functions, there seems to be a strong contingent from Singapore and UK. But no Americans.

I know there are some other Yanks here in Shanghai. Perhaps you are all are trying to lay low from the world-wide anti-american sentiment, but anybody interested in putting something together here? I couldn't think of a better location than the newly opened Applebees in XJH? Or perhaps at Bubba's BBQ.

Topics of discussion could include:

1) Why everbody hates us for saving the world
2) The lack of Beef in Shanghai
3) City Shop having Coors Light
4) How much we will miss Bob Barker
5) And other more serious topics such as how to take over China

Include me In.

PS I have contacted Carvel If we open 5 stores in Shanghai they will give us a franchise

How will it be if we change the girl's star and strip that CoffeeHawk has posted into the sort of five stars flag? What you think that'll be?
More sexy?
