Wanted new sunglasses but was wondering:
Good Sunglasses = UV protection
Cheap Sunglasses = ?
How do you make sure the sunglasses you buy provide adequate UV protection? How do you inspect the lenses? What do you look for? Thanks! |

I think sunglasses in Decathlon is ok. There is UV protection indicators and info. attached to it. I read them before I bought sunglasses for my kid. I think as a reputable shop will not cheat customers with these things Vs corner shop..... |

Like anything here in Shanghai, you pretty much get what you pay for.
And if it is too good a deal, you are probably not getting what you want.
Ray Ban's in the US with glass lenses, UV A/B, andd Polarization cost about USD$100-150. Depending on the model.....
Ray Ban's in the Copy Market cost $10.
The reality here is that "Branded Goods" that are real usually cost more than in the US, HK, or almost almost anywhere due to the high import taxes.
So if it is quality you want, go to a reputable shop, and be prepared to pay almost as much as home in most cases. |
