Post subject: China Unicom Internet

I cannot get internet to work on a mobile phone with China Unicom. There is no definite answer available through search, if they have it or not. Office 服务员 said they have both WAP and GPRS.
Phone came with settings for WAP and GPRS, WAP works, GPRS doesn't.
I changed some settings, according to some advices, it didn't work.

Do you have a China Unicom sim card and can you access internet?

Yes, but mine is CDMA. If you are not stuck with cdma, why on Earth would you be using China Unicom ?

Still an easy fix. Go into the nearest China Mobile office and pick up a sim card for about 100 rmb. You'll get probably 80 rmb worth of talking credit plus you'll be able to connect almost everywhere and will have Internet access. Personal experience - China Unicom sucks the big ten inch. (And I'm stuck with them because the phone I like only comes in cdma form ....)
