| Post subject: US Mobile Phone Usable in China? |
I'm trying to buy an unlocked quad band Sony-Ericsson phone from the US. I believe it can be used here to receive and make calls, but can it display Chinese and allow me to send SMS in Chinese? Is the Chinese display/input function in the SIM card I buy here, or is it in the firmware that comes with the phone. If the latter, I hope there's some workaround. |

Chinese language input is firmware based - bring the phone over, and you should be able to get it flashed in one of the electronics markets here, heard it only costs 15 RMB. |
