Hi,

I will be moving back to Shanghai (was there for 3 years before) in January from Hong Kong. I want to "post" a couple of those big plastic laundry bags full of clothes and bedding.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this.. Will they get stopped at customs? Will I be expected to pay import Duty..? Do I need to to fill out 10,000 different customs forms (medical check, residence permit etc etc to get an import permit??)

Any advice gratefully appreciated!!

Clothes and bedding are not really what the customs are targetting I wouldn't worry about it. If you were sending your collection of 1000 DVDs then there's duty to pay per disc, or if you had a car or a 50 inch LCD TV or something you may have some issues to deal with.
