I frequent Shanghai for my medical consultations and shopping.

Hello Everyone,
I visited the Philippine Embassy Website and I found the following information on the page "consular fees":
INCOME TAX RETURNS
For prior years income up to 1997
Tax due to be assessed Penalty for late filing US$10.00
Interest on tax due - 20% per annum
Starting with 1998 income - EXEMPT from Philippine Tax
Note: Overseas Filipino Workers are still required to file
their EXEMPT Income Tax Returns on or before 15 April
in following the year the income was earned.
May I ask if anybody has filed an "exempt income tax return"?
I hope my query will be answered and I will appreciate it very much. |

I have never seen the form. I have never been asked even when I go to the consulate.
Even when we had the PDOS and all this procedures in POEA... di man nila sabi anything about filing po. Yun lang po na ang mga OFW ay exempted sa tax. |

^ from the year it was decreed and for a couple of years, nagsa-submit ako nito, pero hindi naman na hinahanap saka hindi ko na alam kung saan kukuha ng form (sa BIR siguro). Dati meron silang tao sa airport na nagbibigay at nagi-stamp ng form. Nung bago pa lang ito, may tao rin sila sa embahada, pero ngayon ewan ko na. |

On other news... DLSU just had a devastating lost courtesy of its long-term rival, ADMU. It's also Coach Fran Pumaren's first 3-losing-streak in his 11 years of coaching the Green Archers. (Palitan na kasi!)
