| Post subject: Where can I get a Persian or Exotic Cat? Please tell me. |
Hello All. I need some help and advice please.
I am looking to find an exotic or persian cat that I can care for. I only want a cat from one of those two breeds, (preferably exotic if possible - less hair maintenance.) I like those two breeds not only for their unique looks, but also for their sweet, amiable and gentle natures.
I also don't want to support animal cruelty (as is woefully common in China.) I have looked at the Shanghai Second Chance Animal Adoption website, but I have never seen (nor do I expect to see) any exotics or persians available there.
So, can anyone please help me locate some responsible cat owner/breeder here in Shanghai? I am getting a new, much bigger apartment in a week, and I very much want to share my new home with a loving pet.

I'm also hoping to get an exotic shorthair. I don't want to buy one from the pet store. Can anyone pass on some info on reputable breeder/cattery?
If anyone also knows of a cat show coming up, I don't mind going there to meet the breeders. Thank you! |

Exotics have the face of a teddy bear. That's what makes them sooooo cute!
They have have a sweet personality, like the OP pointed out. |

They are too bony for me. I like fat, Garfield-like cats.
Anyway Coffee, do you have a cat now in Shanghai? Did you buy it here or did you import it? |

I gave my 2 cats to one of my best friends before I left. They were only a year old at the time and adjusted OK, they are still doing well. I do not have one here. |

my neighbor she has more than 5 cats in home and everydays I see them playing in outside for fun and every cat they have blue and brown or green eyes in face, interesting~~~~~~~~~~~ |

Hi Ariesing,
I don't need a CFA pedigree certificate but I want to know whether the cats are PKD tested. Also, will they come vaccinated and neutered. What's the price range? I would like to have a male red tabby. Do you think you'll have one in November? I'm guessing you're in Shanghai, right? (Sorry to bombard you with all these questions.)
