No way... You're not asking these questions... If you haven't been following the relevant issues for the last while, why would you expect to make sense of what people (who have) say?... If you have, you wouldn't be asking these questions...
If you can't understand what's really going on, why would you want to follow advice from some anonymous forum posters? And if you don't intent to act on what people says, why bother asking?...
Just had a few drinks?... or is it meant to be a joke?... |

Would not touch them with a barge pole in any of the share markets in China. The regulation is grey and the recent fiasco over the Sinopec launch should be a warning. |

Are you saying that Sinopac actually is NOT the largest company in the world and does not deserve the P/E of 40+

If this is a serious question listen to this and come back in 6 months with more money than you have now.
I would short the shanghai B shares and hedge it just in case. You will lose some profit due to the hedge but it will be 'insured'.
Not being rude but, if you don't know how to hedge put the moeny in your mattress, it will be there later, or take the 3 step approach to basic investment.
Step 1 invest in MUNI's (Municiple bonds)
Step 2 wait
step 3 profit |

I'm no financial analyst but the A shares have surely got to be a better bet than the B shares. Rather than getting bogged down in Shanghai versus Shenzhen surely it's a matter of A versus B? I'd go for the A. I'm totally sick of Chinese trying to flog this B grade crap off on us foreigners. It's time we got wise guys. Sure the A shares cost a little more, but nobody ever regretted paying extra for quality. |

How to short and hedge? and how to invest in MUNI's?
