I went there last year for Christmas and it was a good deal with lots of good food and free flow drinks (almost anything) for 3-4 hours; cost RMB499, I think. Will probably do the same again this year, given that other nearby places with food and ONE drink are about RMB300.

What is the atmosphere like at Sasha's? Looking for a nice Christmas dinner with my GF, but don't want anything too stuffy. We are early 20's, pretty casual, don't want to go anywhere we will be looked down upon or feel out of place

We went to Sasha's last year for our 1st Christmas in Shanghai, and have booked a table for this year's dinner too.

The food (three courses) may slightly be different to last year's 4 course meal but Julian (Exec chef) will no doubt put on a hearty fayre.
The drinks are indeed freeflow and without restriction (unlikely on champagne though) although champagne was served last year on arrival.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there last year, and have found Sasha's to be a great (although not cheap) place all year round

Suppose you have to pay for consistency and quality in Shangers.

It will be as dressed up or as casual as you make it, No-one will look down on you.

Try it, enjoy yourselves.

^Ask for Stephen or Alan (managers), if you have any difficulties.
Or simple pop along with your girlfriend and have a drink and see if you like the place first.

Or simply send me a private message and i'll sort you out!

Same deal as last year. Open bar includes everything - cocktails, beer, Guinness, wine etc (champagne on arrival, and possibly free flow)

Call 64746628 to make a reservation, or you can buy tickets from Sasha's (to confirm the reservation!) at anytime.

If you have kids they are welcome too... send me a PM and i'll sort out a deal for them!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Am really looking forward to this year, and YES, champers is included! Guest DJ Liam will be on hand to belt out a few Christmas tunes and if we are sober enough I'll do a one round pub quiz on UK Christmas Number 1's! Rumour is Santa might even show, though he did split his costume last week at O'Malleys!

Gabriel, did you find other options besides Marriott? Is Marriott offering anythign special or just the usual?

Lookign for other options too, not interested in a midday thing. Might just go out for a normal dinner on the weekend and call that our Christmas dinner!

Like last year, I'll get there at 12.01 to take my prime pozzie at the bar. Won't waste drink transportation time between bar and table.
