Post subject: Christmas Chocolate cake

Ok, does anyone know what a Christmas chocolate cake is??? Whats different about it from a regular cake, and most importantly where can I pick one up?

My girlfriend mentioned she likes christmas chocolate cake and I never really had traditional christmas dinner so I have no idea what it is! I googled but i'm not sure what she's talking about. Anyone have an idea?

BTW she likes fruitcake too, where can I find those in shanghai? I've never met anyone that liked fruitcake before...haha

She may mean a chocolate yule log. That is a chocolate cake shaped and decorated to look like a branch cut from a tree. They usually have a sprinkling of icing sugar to look like snow and a plastic robin sitting on the top. You could try the western style bakeries or the shops in the big hotels, I guess.
