you mean for food (as this is the food section) or brands in general? or product names? or restaurant names?

kinda of confusing really...

as far as i know it is not classified as a brand name it is only a name of a restaurant unless they have franchises. mac donald is a brand name (i think) hermes/gucci/lacoste/addidas/ are brand names.

this is as far as i know i could be wrong.

i think a brand name to be classified as that, must have the name of the brand on top of something like you go buy "chanel" or "ralf lauren" or "nike" they show the name on the clothes and the shoes. excuse for the orthographe sometimes i write too fast.

so, unless the restaurant name, is also a brand of something, like "camphor" something i am not so sure

anyway, would be interresting to see, what people think about it.

None. A true brand should have a global impact and transcend borders, but it seems that very few Chinese brands are known out of mainland China.

Branding of any sort only means that the name represents something, a company, a set quality level, or something consistant. A true brand does NOT need to be international, or even national. Some brands may even not be known outside a small geographic area, but to those within that confine, that brand mayrepresent something, hopefullly something good, for the sake of the brand owner.

Of course a brand need not be global. Tsingtao is sold overseas, Yanjing Beer probably isn't but it's still a brand. Not sure I have a favourite Chinese brand though.

a few Chinese product brands that are known outside of China include:

Tsintao - (beer) probably best know brand of all
Haier - (home electronics/ appliances) especially after they moved their HQ to NYC
Chery - (automotive) trying to debut cars in multiple countries across the globe
CCTV- (Media) seen across the globe as the mouthpiece and cultural media for China
