| Post subject: finance and investment courses in Shanghai |
Hi All
Does anyone have any idea where is it possible to enroll into an adult education courses in finance and invetment ? I'm looking for courses in English, suitable for working professionals. I know Jiao Tong University hold something along these lines, but their courses are too far apart (as far as I'm aware).
Any input here will be welcomed.
Cheers,
Ilan |

As far as I'm aware the periods of these courses are pretty short (usually a few weeks). As for budget, let's suppose it's unlimited. What do you have to offer or know about ? |

yes madam, if you are talking about courses for few weeks long and in english, i doubt univerity of communication is providing this (at least no when i personally asked them few months back). But i receive brochure from CEIBS from time to time regarding to their short training courses in Shanghai, usually it costs you around RMB 20,00 for 3-day course with specific topic you like to know eg. finance shared service, new accounting standard, credit and operational risk and so on.
There are heeps of private and so-claimed international conference organizer existing in China with pricing from RMB 2000 to RMB 12,000 for 2-day training course targetting different level of executives.
If you prefer to enrol yourself in university with english teaching model, i have not much idea about this. |

Hey ... Thanks for the information.
Do you mind explaining who's CEIBS? Do you have their contact information? I tried others, but apart from very general and basic "Introduction to business in China" courses, I couldn't find anything substantial.
Jiao Tong University is just this name, I hardly think it should be translated to English. According to your method, Shanghai will be called "Above Sea" in English. Jiao Tong in English will be "traffic", if anything... oh...and I'm a guy. |

Mr. Gentleman,
CEIBS is not someone but a business school.

I have been trying my very best NOT to answer rest of your questions. But i reckon you should start from basic, it helps. |

Can one actually learn anything in 2 to 3 days? I've never been to one of these seminars, but I somehow suspect that a combination of books/sites/blog would be much better. So, the next question would be are there any recommended prolific blogs or forums? |

If these seminars are teaching Chinese credit risk managers, then the courses must really suck sewage. |
