Post subject: SLIPPED DISKS IN STRANGE LAND.....HELP!!!

help fellow expats.......i've found out that i have two slipped disks in my lumber which may required (well, more than likely) surgery. however, the problem i'm facing is that my insurance doesn't covery worldlink........and i don't definitley DO NOT trust local hospitals for them to touch, let along operate on my back. does anyone know of any comparable expat hospitals to worldlink that i may go for consultation??? HELLLLLLLLP!! THANKS!!

So sorry to hear about your troubles. It sounds like you need to start with your insurance policy, see who they cover and go fromthere.

Huashan and Suntec Medical Center are two options -- but if I was facing surgery -- and had the time to make the decision -- I'd hop on a plane and get it done in a western country

United Family Hospital out in Chang Ning District is another option but as mswp says, your insurance may have to refer you to where you are covered.
