Post subject: Website in Chinese for buyers

I'm seeking a site that would allow me to post and ad as a buyer of a product, preferably wholesale.
It would be great if it doesn't require complex registration like alibaba, with all of my company's details.

Thanks in advance for advices.

Made in China is a good web site to post your ads. Bear in mind, an add in Chinese is less likely to get any professional response. If a company is not able to communicate in the business language, English, they are usually not worth dealing with. I have my own trading company, and have seen this time and time again.

What would you advise: how to find products that are not advertised on internet, but are definitely produced in Shenzhen, and not only for export?

Might depend ... if you're selling in the $100,000 and up range, lots of older people have no English but high positions. Plus their underlings who do speak English, well ... sometimes their English is not so good. So doing Chinese and making sure it's correct can be helpful.

I'd like to think that any serious and dependable company would at least have an informational website that, one way or another, could be findable online. But well, if they arent aware of the net then I'd think they'd be at least participating in trade shows.

However I got to say: finding the companies is hardly the bottleneck of a smooth sourcing/buying process....so...

What about getting a Chinese assistant to help you get it done? As a non-native you will have all the difficulties in locating the best alternatives by doing this yourself.

If you are dealing with a company that is not able to communicate in the business language, you know that your troubles are only about to start. Best to stay away from them. I have been sourcing a lot here in China, and my first test criterium was; 'How does the company answer a business inquiry in English'. If I don't have a quotation in English within 1 - 2 business days, I move on. Because if that already goes wrong, think about all the other fuckups that you will encounter.

may I ask why it is such a problem to do a one time registration and give away your company details ? I think the advantage of Alibaba and this kind of sites are that indeed they are checked. In this way you have a better chance to find good suppliers... A better chance... I didn't say a good chance Smile

Because we are sick unto death of all the useless garbage spam this creates in our mailboxes. If any site requires registration these days I either 1) register with a phony name, phony data and a mailbox I never ever use or 2) leave instantly. Screw those useless crapheads.

Does anyone else think that it is unnecessary for ads to be placed in Chinese?
