There's no real Abercrombie in Shanghai. Does it really matter? It's not like anyone buys A&F for the quality - it's the name, right?

yeah, just found one and stopped by, but they only had sweaters, no real warm jackets. by the way, is it possible to negotiate in stores like hotwind? i think we will go to a market now, which markets would you recommend? i visited qi pu lu a couple of days ago, thought it was ok but i would like to see a few others, too. thanks for your help!

go to the fake market located in the subway station (Shanghai Science & Tech Museum station) on line 2. Pudong side.

Everything is negotiable there!

hot wind tends to buy surplus brand wear so much of what they have is purported to be real. Not much negotiations in that chain, and probably wuith good reason as they are connected enough and funded enough to get first hand seconds and factory overages so... and quite a nice chain too.

There's a store on the 3rd floor of the HongQiao Pearl City that sells them. If you take the front escalators it's at the opposite corner of the 3rd floor (take a left, walk to the end, take a right and last shop on the right). I think they are surplus items since the shop does not seem to shut down during police raids.

Go to the fake market which locates on 580 West Nanjin Road, there're lots of stores which sell A&F jackets, quite interesting to negotiate with them.

That's funny but true.
Why A&F? As long as that jacket can keep you warm, not necessary buy a big brand.
