Swimming (Sports Hotel Pool: a decent, relatively uncrowded pool for lap swimmers in central Xujiahui... the hotel also has a variety of Badminton, Squash courts, etc. for rent. Shanghai Swimming Stadium in the past, but it's simply too crowded at peak times); Physical for a general gym (again, prefer the Xujiahui - Mei Luo Cheng branch). Once you get to know the folks here, you will find out that there's a large contingent of the people from the Xujiahui that are all Physical members. If you are into Bike Riding and know some good routes, feel free to PM me (have okay-decent bike but nowhere to ride outside the neighbouhood).

Great!!! Would love to join you guys for the racket games Smile I'll email you soon JackyHan.

LeiFeng, MaomingMaster, what are the rates to join Physical Gym?

by the way, does anyone inline-skate around here? I saw some stores selling the skates, but none seem able to tell a decent place to skate..

The rates have changed since I bought my card for Physical, but it's around 300 RMB per month if you pay monthly and around 2500 RMB for a year card (no sign up fees - most gyms don't charge any here).

I see a lot of people in-link skating at Shanghai Stadium, it's a big, round, flat area.... some hard core skate kids hang out at the weekends, occaisonally they even set up a ramp, etc. Take a look if you live in the general area, but I don't it's worth a trip across town for.

MaomingMaster, have we ever met (in a coffee meeting)? When are you normally in the gym?
