1. Many Asian men and women have an inferiority complex, self hate, and White worship towards Caucasians. This is why Asian women more easily accept propositions from dorky White guys who are bald, old, fat, wimpy, homely-looking, or social rejects from their home country. It doesn't take a genius to realize that these disproportionately attractive pairs are because being 'White' gives the guy points in the minds of some Asians. Also, many brainwashed Uncle Tom Asians will say or do *anything*, including bash their own culture or opposite gendered people of the same ethnicity, in order to fuel the ego of their White Trophy. White worship and inferiority complex is also the reason why Asian men are more shy and less confident approaching White women.
2. Look at the tons of ads, commercials, movies, fashion mags, mall posters that feature and glamorize and 'brand' White people as the prettiest, best, etc. Then look at how many Asians try to surgically enlarge their eyes to look more Caucasian (the #1 surgery among Asian women in Asia), or the growing number of Asian girls who dye their hair blond and wear blue contacts.
3. While unspoken, some White men secretly know about Asian White worship, and they go to Asia to be social predators leveraging their White skin. Many English teachers in Asia are unqualified teachers, dirty perverts, or social rejects from their home countries, with major superiority complexes and White Knight mentalities in Asia based on the blogs online. |

I take offense at the fact that the admin had to twist around my original title in order to mock this thread. The original title was "Asian Self Hate, White Worship, and Inferiority Complex'. It doesn't take a genius to see that this exists in Asia among several, if not many, people in Asia. |

I should add that there *are* attractive charismatic White males in Asia (oftentimes business execs) who I don't mind who they date, however it's offensive to see couples that are disproportionately paired which makes me think those types are more out out of mutual Asian fetish and White worship. When the attractiveness pairing is so imbalanced among so many pairs, it is offensive to me because those specific examples are out of White worship and self hate for being Asian. |

Very true and it is common throughout Asia. The cosmetics companies know a good thing when they see it. Plus the Chinese run cosmetic companies have jumped on the bandwagon. Plus if Chinese lasses want more up front than their genes provide then the Chinese run cosmetic surgeries are happy to oblige.

In terms of 'why', I would say because some Asians generalize all Whites as being wealthier, but also because of massive global mass media brainwashing, constantly influencing people to think Caucasians look the best, or are the most attractive or whatever.
I also think it's part of confucian culture to care about social status and hierarchy, and lots of Asians (not just Chinese but others like Japanese and other minorities) see Caucasian as being better than Asian, which is why you see so many disproportionately attractive pairs these days with unattractive White rejects. |

You probably didn't read one of my earlier posts in the thread. I don't care about IR so long as it's out of love, yet I see too many that have racial and racist connotations behind them. Some couples claim to be color blind and open minded, yet they don't realize how close minded they are being.
Some Whites have Asian fetish and objectify Asian women based on Western stereotypes of them, and some Asian women have major White worship and don't even consider Asian, Indian, Black, Latin, etc other men, which in and of itself is a racist sexual preference.
If you are honest with yourself, you'll realize just how much sexual attraction and our preferences are shaped by mass media and entertainment. |

the "media" and "wealth" might be explanations, but i think it's not everything.
The other reason why whites are more popular in asian countries, is because of their rareness, but this concerns only the women. An asian woman gets more attention in Europe or Africa or elsewhere, so does a white woman in Asia or Africa. Most men are always tempted by the exotic, unknown "does a blonde smell a lot different than a brazilian chick etc.". |

I obviously agree with the bit about English teachers, though most are just young unemployed people who want some adventure. A bit like Wenzhounese who come to Europe.

I have been in Fiji, where all the white women have jumped on the Hercules-looking locals, same in the Middle East with all smooth Mercedes driving Arabs, even when I was at Uni, there was an African guy in my class who would pick up a different girl every night.

There are a few misogynistic jerks on this forum. That said, I have friends here who are of many nationalities and many varieties of mixed couples - including women (both Asian and Western) with Asian men. The latter all seem to agree, with 20-20 hindsight, that Western men make better husbands - spend more time with their families, help out more around the house, are more generous lovers, etc. Maybe when all the boasting is over - the truth is that those bald beer bellied guys really are better husbands and Chinese women know that they don't have much to lose in trying to snag one. |
