Restaurant : 小新加坡 (Singapore Hawker Stall).
Address : 襄阳南路391号 (永嘉路/建国路中间)
391, XiangYang Nan Road (between Yongjia Road and Jianguo Road)
Tel : 6431 0082

A small restaurant (about 8 tables) runs by person formerly worked at Crossroad. Entrance is between 2 shops/units selling clothes. You may miss the entrance if you are expecting a full-frontal shop. The restaurant space is behind these 2 shops/units.

Price very economical. Roti Prata@rmb5, Cha Kway Teow (Fried Kway Teow)@rmb10, Laksa@rmb18, Chicken Rice@rmb10, ...

Food is so-so, not bad. For these lower prices, lower expectation.

The lady there (owner's wife?) said many Malaysians/Singaporeans frequent this joint.

I dunno man, tried a couple of BKTs and they just kinda suck. And no 油炸鬼!!How can!!! Luckily I was smart enough to stock up on packets of BKT powder and brought to Shanghai with me. Just buy pork + 油炸鬼 and voila! My cooking sucks but still better than the BKTs I tried here. Man I miss Ah Sang like hell! (people who lived in KL will know what I mean). I'm like in withdrawal now as I used to be addicted to Ah Sang...

Ya! the tahu telor is very good and the Rojak is good too but sad to say she has left Orang3 a month or 2 ago..... now the food is soso only. Heard she will be in Pudong Science and technology park on the 20th June, the charity event. I think she have a booth there selling some Singapore food " If I correct her booth is Grace Kitchen that will be her up coming new restaurant...........

Hope is has tahu telor there haha!!!

If you are referring to Rendezvous, then it's been there for quite a while. Unfortunately, the food there is not very good...

hello missbeverly, besides the Prema Deli restaurant on Raffles City, there's also another rest called Momo Chacha diagonally across the Shanghai Book Centre on Fuzhou Road if you have a craving.

the food is ok i guess, though i prefer My Place at Pudong which could be too far for Puxi'ans

how i wish they have newspapers! (for this, try Rendevous or Orchard CRC at Jing'an)

What is the actual address of My Place in Pudong ??

For those hunger for Singapore/Malaysian - these will be the places I would recommend, being a 5-year-old old bird in Shanghai:

Secret Recipe at JingQiao Carefour,........................

Hey old bird! what about Shark fin Thai? Are they the top rated Singapore restaurant in town according to your experiencei?

Hmm, am I the only one who craves for soupy stuffs that's not so strong in taste? I noticed the food here (been here just 2 weeks) are a tad on the oily/ salty / spicy side.. spicy's not an issue, but I do so crave for Yong Tau Foo, Ban Mian and Yu Pian Mee Fen!

seriously, i have never seen Yong Tau Hu, Ban Mian and Yu Pian Mee Fen in any of the Singaporean restaurants here in Shanghai. Smile

My favorite is momochacha along fuzhou lu where they serve authentic hawker center fare with kopi-o in a mug and not in a cappuccino cup! We just held our latest SSBA singaporean's gathering there, 40 pax attended. Smile
