Your story convinces me that on-line romance seems can be worked out. But how long you gonna survive in this such situation???? Would you think parents-in-law are hostile to you sometimes? As some Shanghaiese parents are a little bit snobbish. Agreed to Mr pango. I don't see any sign why they agreed their daughter to marry you. You know compare with some parents they are too democratic. No offence. As to mandarin, which is the most difficult language in the world as university teacher said. Do you think you can work it out on your own????! Money isn't the most important in life but it's necessary. We are live in the reality you know. Just feel helpless for you!

And as for killing them... I really don't think my wife would be too keen on that idea.

2000 is enough to get your own place (it might look like crap but it will be yours). Rent one, move in, and hope your wife will follow. In this case the deduction from your wife's salary is complete BS, assuming it's not your wife who is up to it.

I didn't smoke and I wasn't advocating for my right to smoke. Just freedom of speech.

And I got suspended for that, I was not selling or in possession of cannabis - period.

Maybe I'm totally confused, but you're 15 or 16 years old, (news article says you're 15, dated June 12th, 2007) married, and moving in with your wife's parents while doing a correspondence course? Something seems screwed up to me........

No wonder her parents hate you, they think you're a pot smoking, weed dealing, pre-adolescent in puppy love with their (assumed) one and only daughter, who came to China to leech off of them because you're just a kid who has no job, no education (yet) to speak of, and hooked up with their daughter off the internet!

Granted, these allegations probably don't hold much water, but that's what I'd be thinking if you were messing around with my daughter! Hope she's not up the duff yet!
