I can still see my toes, can't I?
I'm not small by any means, but I'm not disgustingly huge either. I'm pretty content. |

One martini is all right. Two are too many, and three are not enough.

Speaking from experience?
I remember at a Uni ball, we had vodka-martinis because we thought we were cool. |

Well, martinis do tend to f*ck me up, but no, it's a rhyme by I can't remember who, that was in a book I bought about making martinis. |

Found it, Dorothy Parker said it. Or at least the original. They're not quite the same. |

I'll recommend a "famous chinese snack food", "since 1920's", called MaHua (I think, maybe this is the name of the company that makes it). I know it's popular in northern China, I don't recall seeing it in SH. I tried some in Tianjin, then bought a dozen to bring back to SH. My northern Chinese collegues were buying them by the box load.
It's many thin rolls of dough wrapped/twisted together into a coarse rope looking larger twisted roll (<--abomination of the English language, but pffft.) which is intertwined with 'the part' that has different flavors: nut, sesame, spicy...there were about 12 varieties. The whole contraption is then deep fried to seal in all the healthy goodness.
They come in 6", 10" lengths...up to 0.5m long and ~12cm in diameter. They're about as sweet as a plain donut, sweetened with cane sugar, but a better kind of sweet than some of the local deserts I have tried. |
