Post subject: The Karaoke System Thread

OK, very important issue:

Who has a Karaoke system at home and what kind of hardware/software you are using?

- What type of equipment you are using? Did you buy it in China or somewhere else? Costs?

- Where do you get your songs from? English/Chinese?

I used to use a very simple system with an 80 USD mixer bought in Taiwan connected to the existing stereo amplifier. The mixer had connections for two microphones, and a video in/out to connect to DVD player and TV. Connected an old notebook to it and used a combination from bought DVDs and Karaoke software. Now the mixer died, so I need replacement. I also always had the problem to find music in the internet, especially the Chinese stuff for my SO.

KTV home systems seem to be very popular in Taiwan, but here I haven't seen (or heard) much.

Any experiences?
