What are the Thai options near Jing An? I heard there's a good one but it's really hidden.

Yeah this hotpot place seems like a good deal but after 10 minutes I was bored of it.

Lynn on Xikang Lu next to Portman facing Plaza 66 serves great Chinese fushion food. Great interior and service too. They have RMB68 set lunches for two (the price is per head) with a soup, an entree platter, 2 meat courses, a vegetable dish, dessert, fruits and tea! Always too much for 2 ladies but boys can try to finish all those!

There is a new Portugese / Macau restaurant on Shaan xi North Road right at the back of Plaza 66. It's a branch of the ones in Super Brand Mall and Hongqiao Parkson. The ala cart menu is a bit pricey but set lunches of about RMB50 are ok. Again huge portion.

Itoya (Japanese) in Kerry Center is one of my fav restaurants around that area. Good fresh Jap food but always full. Lunch set around RMB40-70. Huge selection.

theres a great sichuan rest behind the friendship store on changshou lu and wang han du lu. they have a variety of spicy and non spicy dishes. think they are renowned for their chilli crab dishes. meal for 3 yesterday came under 100kuai which was a bargain though we mainly ordered the smaller dishes. will try the super spicy dishes once i find someone who enjoys spicy food as much as i do.
