I am coming to Shanghai next month for the first time and like to go to the fake market. Can somebody tell me the directions hot to get there?
I will be staying in downtown.
Cheers!!

1- FenShine Tao Bao city - on 580 Nanjing road, go to second floor
2- Metro line 2, Science and Technology Station, underground
3- Pearl market, Hongmei lu close to Yan An highway

there is no longer "the" fake market, since it closed down 2 years ago. They are now dispersed around Shanghai.

There's also one on Qipu road.

If you're looking for an experience, go there.

Qipu Road (Qipu Lu) is horrendously packed with crowds, people haggling to buy wholesale or individually.

It's located off Dong Bao Xing Road Metro Line 3 (Light Rail), nearby Shanghai Railway Station.

Hope this helps!

#1 Bao Shan lu station Lines 3 or 4, get out of the station ( opposite KFC) turn right, walk 2 blocks or until someone starts sniffing you.
Or
Bus #18 at People square off at Baoshan lu before the bus turns
or
Bus #21 from Jing'an Temple( beside Burger King) off at Sichuan Bei lu
HUG YOUR BAG and do NOT bring backpack

And also Qing fang Market in Can An Lu, cheaper than Qi bao, but too far away for me.
