| Post subject: Pirate Ship |
Anyone know where to get on that fun, cheesy pirate ship that goes up and down the river? And is it just sightseeing or is it a dinner cruise? We want to take the kids on a dinner cruise on the river, if not the pirate ship, can anyone suggest another that would be fun for kids? Thanks |

I am not sure about the pirate ship but several of them leave from near my office. At the corner of Zhanshan Lu and Fuxing Lu. Fuxing (when you don't take the tunnel to Pudong) dead ends at the river. There is a small road, not sure of the name, that runs along the river. I walked through there the other day just being noisy and several of the boats leave from there. The eliptical one with all the lights takes off from there.
I can also see this dock from my apartment so I know that bright blue light sets sail from that one.
"texasgirl" - is that UT (hook'em horns) or simply from the state of Texas? |

Thank you for the info, I kinda know where you're talking about so I'll wander around and see what I can find. I've only seen the pirate ship from the Bund but thought it would be fun to ride. Hopefully I can find it's dock.
Not UT, I went to Southwest (back when it was still called SWT) but am a long time Austin resident, and a Longhorn fan. Hook 'em horns. \_/ |

We've been on that pirate ship - it was just a river cruise, not a dinner cruise. Got it down on the Bund side - where you get the ferry tickets, there are lots of different travel places selling tickets for boat cruises. All the boats line up there all bunched up together, so not sure how to figure out which one you are going on - we had no idea which boat we were going on until we climbed aboard! It was fun though. |

That booze cruise described on that link for Mural is exactly what I am trying to find for some young visitors...does anyone know if Mural or any other bars will be hosting any booze cruises in the enxt couple of weeks? |
